Polish born Ania Winiarska won the Dewar Award to study documentary direction at the National Film & Television School in England. Later she was awarded the Christie award for outstanding contribution to the NFTS. Ania’s film DYLAN, about a troubled youth growing up in 21st Century Belfast, went on to screen at over 12 international film festivals winning several awards along the way including 2nd prize at San Sebastian International Film Festival and shortlisted for Grierson Awards for best student film. Ania was also involved in making a documentary BRITAIN IN A DAY for BBC2 and is currently developing further documentaries for British TV. Since the fall of 2012, Ania resides in Stockholm, Sweden where her projects includes working as DoP for Swedish produced TV series Fonko, co-produced by SVT, sold to WDR, SBS, DR, NRK, YLE.
