Rubén Abruña has over 30 years of experience as a documentary filmmaker in his native Puerto Rico, and in New York, Miami, and Zürich. In 2014, he completed THE ABSENT HOUSE about an award winning designer from the Caribbean who pioneered green architecture 30 years ago. Today he confronts the climate crisis with sustainable constructions such as a house that is completely off-the-grid with dry compost toilets, solar panels, and rain harvesters.
